Our newest Free School opens its doors to 28 young people in September, 2020 at a temporary site in Patchway, Bristol, adjacent to the Patchway Academy site.
Building work for the new permanent site begins on August 3rd, 2020 at Soundwell and will be completed by July, 2021.
The new Head teacher, Craig Abbs has successfully steered the new school through its pre-registration process with Ofsted and has been pronounced ready and fit to open in September, 2020 by the DFE.
When it eventually reaches full capacity on the main site at Soundwell it will cater for 136 young people aged between 5 to 18 years, with Social and Emotional Mental Health needs (SEMH) or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).
The new provision will have modern new facilities and resources to meet the range of needs the young people will have, and offer them the opportunity to study a wide range of both academic and vocational subjects. The vocational learning bases will offer, motor-vehicle studies, construction studies, hospitality and catering and hair and beauty.
There will be a wide range of interests and subjects presented in fully equipped facilities, including a sports hall, music recording studio, performing arts areas and outdoor play.
